A stern middle aged human man, known for his love of his family and kingdom. A skilled fighter and well liked by most of the people of the Radaum Kingdom that he rules over. He is always seen with his three pet mountain lions, either at court or around the inner city.
Forty two years old, Murlyn Urgelle has been the King of Radaum for over seventeen years, he is a human with long black hair and a moustache. His stern eyes sit above a smirk and hooked nose that has been broken from combat. He is a skilled swordsman and fought in many tournaments when he was a prince. Married to Valarie Urgelle they have four children together three sons and a single daughter. He and the rest of his family have a deep connection with mountain lions a trait all Urgelles inherit. He is often wearing a doublet of black and gold, he has three as pets mountain lions who are seen by his side at all times. Murlyn and his family stay in "The Lions Leep" which is the castle at the heart of Kaltents inner city. He was born and raised in Kaltent spending much of his youth in the inner city and escaping to the outer city when able.
The Urgelle family has close ties with all the Kingdoms of Aldarock and works hard to maintain a delicate peace over the continent, as it was the Kingdom of Raduam and King Edgar Urgelle the Second who created the Treaty of Aldarock this treaty ended the Dwarf and Elf Wars of Aldarock and also brought common trade to Celda, even the Vulbar Kingdom has signed the treaty if only to help ensure their own privacy and peace. This treaty is why Murlyn has sent half his kingdoms army into the mountains of the Silvas Range with a host of ten thousand dwarves from Craigden. They two Kingdoms plan too end the raids that have been occurring, for the past three years dwarven mining towns of Craigden and small towns of Radaum have been burned and destroyed by great hosts of Orcs and Ogres. The monsters have come north from the Silvas Range and claim to be the followers of an unnamed Sorcerer they call the "Our Lord."
Hundreds of Radaumin people have been killed in these raids and almost one hundred small towns have been burned, so many have been destroyed that the small folk who continue to move and rebuilt do not even name their towns anymore, expecting it to be burned by the end of the year. Instead they simply call their villages "three month town" or "two week town" based on the number of weeks and months the town has survived, or simple call their home "New Town" many of the small folk have different ways of naming the same village. Murly Urgelle has been sending as many of his soldiers to these towns as possible to help guard them but has been unable too. So in the past few months he has hired three hundred Sad Elf soldiers from the Draulin are to help guard the small towns, the Sad Elf Soldiers have their own command chain and only listen to their superiors and the King of Raduam. They are often seen as harsh and sometimes brutal but Murlyn sees them as necessary to protect his people from the orc raids. He is considering signing a Treaty with the Draulin to allow more soldiers to enter and help protect his Kingdom, although this will break the Treaty of Aldarock as the Elves of Alda Anarth refuse to trade with the Draulin and see them as mortal enemies. Even buying the Sad Elf Soldiers could been enough to break relations with the Alda Anarth Elves.
