The First Outing

The group discovers a corpse, fresh and headless.
Guards discover the group standing over said corpse, and rope them into helping discover the Late Night Lopper. (Not the Late Night Whopper). The trail leads into the hedge maze, where chanting can be heard. 4 cultists chant and summon a tree creature that has the 7 dead heads hanging off of it. Drill Ironscrapper's head is set off to the side on a bench. The tree and cultists were killed without anyone having the misfortune of getting an extra head attached to them. Opal Identifies magic and discovers that the only dagger the cultists had has the Gentle Repose ability, and Dill's head has Gentle Repose cast upon it. We don't know why.
The guards took the heads and the dagger and promised to send us 1 silver each - because we were deputized to help with the search and fight.
