We planned to use the portal to the Feywild found the week before, but first met with an emissary from the Empire to the West, Cosomo. She was interested in meeting all of the members of H.A.R.E. and treated us to food and two days of good rations.
Entering the Feywild we met a sock merchant with a cat who could talk when it wanted to. Later I learned it was a person who was turned into a cat for an affront to a powerful Fey. They let us know where to find a city of stories and warned us of a monster on a bridge on the way. The cat decided to accompany us.
Near the bridge we met a troll who was fairly friendly, but also warned us of a monster guarding the bridge. It was an angry goat. If anyone attacked it they would be destroyed. Fortunately is was a goat of very little brain and the party confused it until it passed out and we were able to pass freely.
At the gate to the city the guard informed us that we couldn't enter without a badge, but was convinced to let us in if one of us could manage to get past him and through the gate. While the rest of the party tried to find ways in I became a small spider and climbed into one of the other's shoe, which he then threw through the gate. Since the guard did nothing to stop the shoe I was able to enter, thereby granting entry to the party.
One of the little people with us went ahead, I believe to steal from people. That's not a good idea in the Feywild...
The rest of us sought out the performance in the center of the city. We wanted to speak with the King of Stories, and he was a patron of the theatre. The manager there enlisted us to go on in place of the regular actors who were not available.
I wouldn't say we did well, but the crowd was amused. We were rewarded for our performance with a Mark of Friendship and the King asked to see us. While there one of the faceless servants looked like a stuffed rabbit. Some of the others said he looked like the person we were looking for.
We were sent on a quest all around the city, meeting a mermaid, a hag, and the Pine Serpent. It seems that the King has been out of sorts, and there is an Epic story about him. Some think that if we can find all of the parts of the story we might be able to snap him out of his melancholy and get Reginald back.
Several of the party were much too rude for the Feywild. I'm surprised they haven't been turned into any manner of animal or something yet.
