So we rummaged around in that strange place where Sariman's body was buried in a sarcophagus, and Daar was all around the place reading scrolls. The place itself was weird, Roshanna went in a straight line in one direction and suddenly showed up on the other side of the tomb - without ever having turned! We had apparently left the material plane. I wasn't sure where we were, and I didn't really want to know, either. Mostly, I wanted us to be done as quickly as possible, so we could go back to the normal world. I helped Azaki found a pair of weird books that he took a rather immediate interest in, but apart from that I was idle for most of the time - I couldn't read the language that the scrolls were written in. So I had some time for thinking, which is a situation that haven't been too frequent lately.
It's been a strange time, in that labyrinth of Sariman. I've come to realize that the Order of Amarath seems to have quite a few bonds with this Bahamut, god of metallic dragons. I haven't really bothered much about gods before, except for a few times when I sought guidance from Uthgar. But considering the Order and what it fights for, and considering Sariman and his fellows and what they fought for, Bahamut seems like a rather nice god. I have still not seen any aspect of Bahamut that I dislike, at least. But how do you let a god know that you like 'em? I never prayed much to Uthgar, except for a few times - Uthgar is not that kind of god. You kill monsters in honour of Uthgar, that's what you do. I know how to do that. Oh, it's finally time to leave now, excellent! Can't wait to be out of here.
We left the tomb in the only direction that seems possible to leave in, and we ended up the slopes of a huge mountain. Oh well, looks like it's gonna be a sturdy hike to get somewhere. Wait, what? Mount Celestia? The place where GODS live? By the bloodied beard of Uthgar! Oh wait, I won't find him here. But I guess Bahamut might be here. If ever there was a good time to pray to Bahamut, I guess this is it. Hm, Roshanna is already kneeling. Didn't expect her to be so religious. But on the other hand, I didn't expect that from myself either, and what was I thinking about just now? WHAT? Bahamut answered, and wants us to COME TO HIM? WTF?

*flashes back to the material plane*
I just met a god. I MET A GOD, FACE TO FACE! A god that gave us answers, straight up. They even promised they'd help us, if possible. Considering this is a god that resides on Mount Celestia, I guess they actually mean it, too. This is too much! I need to pledge myself to this god, here and now. Down on your knees Drogo the Half, down on your knees with your axe in front of you!
"From now on, I, Drogo the Half, pledge myself to fight evil and uphold righteousness in the sacred name of Bahamut. I will wield my axe as Bahamut guides me, and I will be their humble servant."
*blink*
What the..?! What did I just do?
*flash of platinum on the edge of the axe, and the symbol of Laduguer suddenly disappear and become replaced by the symbol of Bahamut in Platinum*
WHAT THE? THEY HEARD ME? AND LISTENED TO ME? By the bloodied beard of Uthgar, what have I done?!? Er.. I mean, by the.. platinum.. teeth of Bahamut...? Er.. I'm confused!
I.. I'm pledged to a god now. Pledged myself as a holy fighter. A.. paladin? Me? But I'm a barbarian! ...I still feel pretty much the same, though. I am still a small and quick ferret of rage, I still feel that inside of me. But there's something else, too... A... purpose? Hm, I kind of like that. So far, I've mainly been going on because it was apparent that the world was awry and I wanted to make it a better place by doing the only thing I know how to do - killing monsters and bad guys. Well, I've given my word, so I'd better live up to it.
This axe needs a new name. From now on, it's name is The Rage of Bahamut! That is indeed a fitting name for the platinum-edged weapon of a Barbarian Paladin of Bahamut. And I, the wielder of The Rage of Bahamut, am Drogo the Half, the Platinum Ferret of Fury!
Also, I can't wait to tell Narvi that the symbol of Laduguer is no longer on my axe - without even exchanging the axe. *snicker*
