Forgive Me

by Uther the Desecrated

Amongst a scrap book of charcoal drawings that depict areas of the Eastern Coast of the Empire, A letter is attached behind a sketch of he bay of Chorest.

My Dearest Ashe,

Forgive me. For I have been unable to comprehend my own feelings. I know it has been all too often an occurrence since our betrothal that I have been away from your embrace for times feeling unending. Alas I fear that now times have changed. Oh Ashe, darkness has seeped within my very soul. I am no longer than man that you had once loved. My love, for I gave up my oath and duty all for personal partiality's . Such fickle recourse does not appropriate itself kindly within beings such as I, for denial of duty only allows for corruption to creep like sepsis, for the one to undermine the harmonious union that is sworn to guide and lead my domain, is a temptation beings of sin find irresistible and only answer with voracious medley of sinful coercion. And so for the safety of my people I was banished. To kill one as corrupted as I may open up such demonic flaying to occur within the core of the realm and be used only as a vessel. Thus I accept my punishment. Redemption is what I seek. But beyond the golden dawn, my guiding light will always be you my Harvest Moon. I yearn to hold you once again in my arms as a man worthy of you. I am currently within your Empire but I dare not say where. You, as capable as ever are in no danger and I would not wish to ever claim such. Yet no harm to you I ever seek to befall you and those you hold dear. I am in good company, I think you would like them. I have had little opportunity to aid those with inexperience, alas in their experience offer me so much. I do not know whom on my path of I shall meet, nor what challenges it faces. However I only wish for it to end with me meeting you once more.

Yours, Always,

U.
