There was nothing more enjoyable for Renfield then killing. People, bugs, anything. His needs were that of the utmost basal level. A despicable being of himself. It is unfortunate that vampire that bit him, let him live, but then, it is that sort of sense of humor that makes vampires so craven.
Renfield checked the board for work. He really didnt have to work. Living on nature, eating cockroaches, and watching other peoples misery were the joy he had in life. Being a nocturnal sort, it was easy for him.
But a quest to eliminate and kill was too much to pass up, and the rewards were prolific, at least compared to the life he had lived up to now.
Kill a druid, pretty easy, or is it.
Upon arrival to an estate of fallen owners, a ghost appeared and offered us more reward then originally spoken. Could this get any better!!! Everyone wants people killed! JACKPOT!!!!! The irony is, we have two paladins. Little do they know we aren't taking the druid in voluntarily. I will make sure of that.
Turns out, I didn't have too. One Pally was set upon killing the Druid. All I had to do was sit back and sling arrows! Oh, and the joy of all of this!!!!!!!!!, it summoned beasts to kill as well. I did feel a tinge of regret killing the spiders, but hey, you got to break eggs when making an omelette... He, he, he, he.....
It was highly enjoyable to watch the dragon thingy taking all that damage. Purposely, I targeted things not in direct battle with it. I forced the druid to shapeshift a couple times and flee a couple times. All the while, pund pound pound went the Barbarian. The Pally set on fighting was abysmal at it. I was hoping the snakes would take him down among his ineptitude. He finally won out. Too bad really. It would have been just deserts if he has fallen. One cannot get everything they want.
The battle was short, and we were victorious. The rewards were plentiful. I wonder what the next adventure will bring? This was fun. Maybe I will venture out more....
