Untitled Letter

(A letter written and sent by Cyrus during his first night in Amaterasu)

As much as I hate to say I told you so, I told you so. Not even five minutes into Amaterasu and my caravan is torn to flaming shreds by some crazy elf lady. I'm miraculously fine, but some were killed; even more were hurt. I may have had a hand in heroically saving the day, but that's besides the point.
 
The capital is dangerous. Too dangerous for you to have initially come with me. Too dangerous for you to come now. Like I told you I'd do before, I'll scout the area and continue to write to you until I know for a fact things have died down. Don't know how long that will be; apparently elf lady is a big deal. But don't worry your head over me. You have my word that I'll get you out of San as soon as I possibly can. Dangerous as it is, Amaterasu is a beautiful city with so many great people. I can't wait for you to meet the people that I've already come to know. Well, *most* of them at least...
