Seeking Reprieve

We were fortunate for our journey to Reprieve, a luxurious airship provided our accommodations, lent by the empress. Anticipating a more austere trip, I had requested to share a room with Filea, but that proved unnecessary. Nonetheless, it provided ample opportunity to get to know her better, as well as other adventurers who we may be working with. Near the end of the journey, a group of crystallized sahuagin attacked the ship. I found myself operating with Filea, Kosuke the craftsman, and Julian the serpent-friend. As the initial fires died down, we combined forces with more adventurers to fight the crystallized kraken that seemed to be spearheading the attack.
 
As a reward for this effort, we not only received payment, but housing. My own home is shared with Filea, although it seems that the empress may have misunderstood the exact nature of our relationship. Whether this misunderstanding proves beneficial or harmful remains to be seen, but it certainly does help with conversation. As the next expedition into the wastes is prepared, I think i will make some effort to ingrain myself within the town's society, we'll likely be here for some time.
