Snow's Journal

My name is Snow, In the early days of youth I lived happily in a small village in the mountains together with my clan and childhood sweetheart called Summer. It had only been a few days since I turned the age of fifteen, when Summer and I had gotten bored of doing mundane tasks all day. In the spur of the moment, I dared Summer to explore the abandoned encampment north of our village. Even Though our clan elders have always forbidden us to go near the encampment, but we went anyways, ignoring the warnings, after all, you don’t want to lose to a dare.
 
After arriving at the encampment, we were quicky surrounded by humans and captured. Later sold as slaves due to our Cattish appearance and eventually brought to a mine to dig tunnels. For months they would torture not just me, but also Summer, just for sport or simply for not working fast enough. Every time this happened, I felt my inner rage fill, until one day something in my head guided me to use all this build up rage and end this nightmare. I succeeded, I used my rage to beat up every guard I could find, until only us slaves were left. Surprisingly there were more of us than I initially thought. I freed about 50 slaves that day and was praised as a hero among them.
 
We returned to our village in the mountains and explained what happened to us. Even though they praised me as a hero for returning and freeing the slaves. I felt ashamed. I felt the guilt and anger eating away at me for daring Summer that day. If only I had just listened. We wouldn’t be scarred like this. Summer would still have all her fingers and I wouldn’t feel angry all the time.
 
I couldn’t live happily in the village anymore. I just had to leave, to learn to control my anger instead of building it up. I wanted to take Summer with me, but how could I. After what I’ve done and now that she’s finally reunited with her family. I went to the nearest village and took the first ship I could find…
