"Welcome to the Jungle" Hidden Track 2

by Edea of Mavros Lykos

Edea yelled and whooped it up as her troupe mates looked on. "Uh, I just had a thought," said Satanica, "Do they do like...sacrifices...people sacrifices?" Gerry took a sip of her drink. "Whelp...I guess we're about to find out..." she said with a certain world weariness. Edea, too far away to hear, was ceremoniously carried up on the hands of the revellers. "Hells yeah!" she yelled as she was escalated up the great ziggarut. Finally she ascended to the very top. Just as the final reveller was about to put her on the floor, she pulled her enchanted kythera into her hands and strummed a hard cord. At this, she took off and zoomed around the base. The revellers looked on as Azlotl followed, nonplussed but smiling. He watched as the wolf woman zoomed around before landing.
"One from a foreign land," said Azlotl in Harmonian," the gods have judged you worthy! Speak your name and be known!" Edea beamed...before sending out one magical light....then another...then another. "Edea of Mavros Lykos! To the gods and the people!...but to you...I'm Eddie! Now what's the name of my new bassist?" "I am Azlotl, musician and chosen herald of the Rain God! Well met! If you pass the test, I shall join you!" "Another music battle?" "Not quite. Play with me and play before the gods! They have judged you worthy to be tested! If they find you worthy I am yours! Do you have the passion and stamina to pass?" "Malaka," she said as she strummed, "You've never met me..." she said with a smirk.

The sunset began and the two played. The lizardman adding his deep thrumming sound while the wolf woman added her energetic playing. Edea furiously kept pace with Azlotl. Dusk turned to evening. Sweat dripped down her brow but on they played. Night turned to midnight, on they played. Midnight turned to dawn, on they played.

"ENOUGH!" went a booming voice from the heavens. "My servant! You will join this woman on her holy music crusade! Bring the world the strength of our song through her! Go forth, Azlotl, my herald!"

Edea stopped, sweat dripping from her brow, but she still had enough strength to extend her hand. "Welcome to the troupe!" "I am glad to be with you, leader!" he said as she clasped her hand to signify their new friendship.
