Barracks room:
Chest contains simple clothing; appears to be a uniform
Fought a hidden gelationous cube
Second chest over a hidden latch:
Bundle of papers loosely arranged and held together by a spring/clip
Handwritten in common
Ends with details of some surprise attack
Some sort of bird
Several crew members lost
After that, nothing
Head downstairs
Come to a room that has a dais
Purplish light emitting from a crystal-like item in the middle of this structure
Seems to rise up from beneath the dais
Might be the heart we're looking for
Felton takes a look with his tools to assist and he believes he can take it apart given enough time
Attacked by a hag of some sort who opens the door to the east
She's blathering something about self destruct
We beat her pretty easily but her aura does us some damage
The area from whence the hag came leads to what appears to have been a captain's cabin
Has some maps of Valenar
Lomea searches quarters and finds, among other things, a logbook
Entries towards the end are very erratic/incomprehensible
After the attack, Felton gets back to work on the heart while the others investigate what Lomeia found
Able to lift off glass cover
Stone compartment with decorative etching - appears purely decorative
Metal ring bolted into the stone appears to hold "heart" in place
These come out much easier
Ring lifts right off
Crystals inset in the metal ring go "blank"
With a good look at it, "heart" appears to be cylindrical and about the size of a beer keg or slight smaller
