Down in the Dungeon

by Gaius Fleck

Set to the beat of "Down on the Corner" by CCR

Early in the mornin' just about breakfast time
Over by the mountains they're starting to arouse
Six kids on a mission trying to bring bad down
Gaius picks a tune out and strings it on his viol

Down in the dungeon
Under the peaks
There's a guardian protecting
and it doesn't have any feet

Please don't use a penny, or you'll take a pound
But if you use a nickel, you can continue the journey down
Above on the stairs there's a scary noise
Slimy goo from all around to speed you on your way

Down in the dungeon
Under the peaks
There's a guardian protecting
and it doesn't have any feet

Down in the dungeon
Under the peaks
There's a guardian protecting
and it doesn't have any feet

You need to know your magic just to make it through
If you don't know your spelling you'll turn into a toad
When you see the animals turn out the lights
All roads become clear when it becomes night

Down in the dungeon
Under the peaks
There's a guardian protecting
and it doesn't have any feet

Down in the dungeon
Under the peaks
There's a guardian protecting
and it doesn't have any feet

Down in the dungeon
Under the peaks
There's a guardian protecting
and it doesn't have any feet
