Finding Salvation

The lightning rail flew along its tracks. Just over two days to get to Salvation. Cramped quarters made for quick conversations with the other passengers. I found myself laughing, playing cards, and swapping some stories with a goblin named Plux, a human named Sal, a Warforged named Tinker (with his sweet metallic companion Alpha), and an elf named Alwin all clad in black.
 
I'm still searching for answers. Plux and Alwin have connections to Cyre. There could be a possibility of discovering their theories on the Mourning. Alwin mentioned a bookseller in Salvation. Plux seems to have an interesting view of what passes for wondrous.
 
Sal and Tinker are also traveling to the Mournland for possibly the first time.
 
We seem to be getting close. Just a few hours left before disembarking.

Blood was spilled. Alwin was murdered and the train was sent into a demon pace.
Alwin pressed his spellshard into my hand and whispered the word "Lyra" into my ear.
 
Karma, Sadie, and an unnamed killer in black disappeared into the night.
 
These travelers (Tinker, Sal, and Plux) proved their bravery in combat against a skeleton and a wind elemental.
My battle ax cleaved through it's swirling form, but it did not take as much damage as I would have expected.
 
I must be on the look out for more powerful weapons as I journey into this brutal land.
