It's a good thing these power dampeners are so susceptible to electricity. I was able to disable two within five seconds. The third and fourth ones took a bit longer. I had to fire at the third one twice. I wasn't able to build up enough static electricity to short-out the third one with my first strike. The second strike took it out. That fourth one was past the first one that I attacked in the beginning.
I learned a valuable lesson today. Be careful approaching big machines outside of prison complexes.
For some reason, we were pretty quiet on the coms today. Sharpe did cry out in anguish at one point, something about being too late.
There was a surprisingly few guards working this camp. Well, I guess when you are immune to the effects of the field, and no one has any energy to move, then, I guess it is fairly easy to guard your prisoners.
Liliana took out the remaining dampeners on the other side of the camp, so I turned in to see what I could see. As I get past the walls, there are two other 'costumed' people heading towards the back of the camp towards where the prisoners are kept. Max had englobed them, but I could see that one of them was out of phase with the other, so I asked Max to drop the englobing around them so I could wrap the woman up in light, keeping her there and under control.
Once that was done, I went looking for Jimmy, the son of one of the restaurants that was attacked while I was there eating. The young man looked like he had been aged several years, but he had only been there a few weeks. I do not understand how people can allow this kind of thing to happen.
Sharpe and Liliana were talking with several of the other captives. They had their coms open, so we all heard what was said.
One of the last ones that they talked to was mostly out of his head. He was muttering incoherently to himself, until Sharpe mentioned something about being with the resistance. It could be heard over the coms that he snapped to lucidity for a couple of seconds and clearly stated "Destroyer is Dead and I can Prove it." He snapped right back into muttering nonsense.
Destroyer is dead? I wish that this guy was clear headed enough to tell us more.
Maybe with time, he might come out of it. The real question here is, do we HAVE the time available for him to come back to his senses to get the information, and be able to do something with it.
Oh, how nice it would be if we could figure out how to travel in time, but I think that is an adventure for someone else.
