After joining a group in the guild, we accepted a quest to defeat the goblins in the Staurt mines. As we enter the mine, we instantly encounter our first fight with two goblins and a bugbear, because Staurt shot them without any consultation. We managed to overcome the first fight, as i feel the adrenalin rushing to my veins. The adventure is real.
As we continue, we encounter a second group of goblins garding a door. As we try to sneak up on them, Staurt attacks from behind in an attempt to assesinate the goblin. He failed and the goblin started screaming. The fight escalated and Atlu got knocked out. Luckely Reis could pep him up again.
After the fight with the Hobgoblin, me and Atlu find a mural in the mines which shows the birth of the reaper, a powerful wizard who wishes to be the next death. Not knowing what to do with this information, Elena seeks the help of her friends. Meanwhile, Stuart and Reisys try to open the locked door in the room next to the murals. As they solve the puzzle from the door, the group enters a room with three more murals. The middle mural shows a clash with a warhammer same as Stuarts. The last mural is broken, but it is unclear if it is demolished on purpose.
Stuart seemed to lie about the origin of his hammer, so i used a spell to detect his thoughts, but the only thing I learned at first is that he is emotionally attached to the hammer and is affraid of losing it. I digged deeper and learned that he got the hammer after he fell in a hole and does not know the origin. While asking more questions, it becomes clear that he is holding back information and maybe even lie about the origin and the importance of the hammer. I can't wrap my head around it yet, but I will figure it out.
We continue exploring the cave and encounter another group of goblins. Atlu got knocked out again. After the battle i used a healing elixer to save him, even tho the dragon and i are also pretty ruffed up. We went deeper in the mine and discovered another locked door. There is a small study on the left and two dormant stone golems in the main room. While we exploring the rooms, Stuart went off in another direction. I can't stop wondering what's going on with him. What secrets is he hiding... Meanwhile, Reis is trying to open te locked door without succes.
After a few tries, Stuart comes in, turns the knob and opens the door, just like that. Behind the door, there are footsteps similiar to Stuarts, like he has been here before. Stuart moves out of our sight. Selene tries to track him. We decide to follow them. Stuart kneels in front of the skeleton, sitting in the throne in the room. As he does, all sounds disappear and we are no longer able to speak.
Stuart looks posessed. His hand starts to glow as he shoots an eldrich blast at Reis, killing her on the spot. Shocked, Selene and Atlu ran away. Triggerd by these events, i sneak closer to Stuart, trying to detect his thoughts. A force blocks me and attacks out of the blue, almost killing me as well. I quickly drink my potion and run back to the others, trying to seek there help. They refused and ran out of the cave. I followed them, suggesting we should go back to save him, but they are unforbittable. We ran out of the mines, making our way back to the guild.
Back at the guild we all took a week off to grieve in our own way. I went to the libary, trying to find more information about the littlefoot family and the reaper. Unfortunately without any succes. The last two days i focused on practicing alchemy.
At the end of the week we all met back at the inn, only to run into an adventure trio. We agreed to go on a quest to slay the elemental that's roaming in the mountains. The road is hard and cold. Windwhirls attacked us and threw me off the klif. Luckely, i didn't fall all the way down and Selene helpt me back on my feet. We silently approached the elemental and suprise attacked him. My tasha's hidious laughter held him under control, which made the battle a peace of cake.
Getting to know our new companions, i notice they have been together for quite a while. They are a way higher rank than we are and have a lot of experience in the battlefield. Sahara is a really cool witch who knows a lot about alchemy. I hope i can learn from her.
After the short trip to the mountain, we find ourselves back in the adventure guild. I'm so excited, we are getting the opportunity to proof ourselfs as adventurers and rank up. All we have to do is travel to this small town and find the missing people. We had an easy trip getting to the village, where two peculiar womens welcomed us and took us to the mayor. He was quite an odd fellow, not really bright. But he gave us the headsup of the situation and pointed us to the caravan group, since they had an encounter with bandits.
We agreed on checking the caravan out. The leader seems really nice.
