The Scar

by Princess of Kaido Illiana Luna Haidyn Vaella Shui Zhou

I haven't wrote in here for a while... Most of my pages also seem to be ripped out as well... That's upsetting but I can live with it. I won't write for too long because my head is still thumping from that fall... Anyways, we had to flee the city because me, Asuka, and Eli's faces were on a wanted poster. They made me look like a boy for some reason... But Asuka's and Eli's posters were obscure as well. Eli was made out to be missing her hand while Asuka was a poorly drawn fire genasi. It could've been anyone. The next day, we finally arrived at the scar. It looks like a wasteland. There were wrecked ships and caravans along with bones of different shapes and sizes! The land seemed desolate... It gave an eerie atmosphere as well... There wasn't anything out of the ordinary other than that. However, things took a turn for the worse. There was strange sound that seemed to grow louder and louder. All of sudden, Lyn looked out the window and had a look of dread upon her face as she turned to face us. She said that "The Wound" was coming. She explained "The Wound" was a cyclone that ravaged the scar. It was left after the Great War. Before I looked out the window, I could feel it... I could feel the strong presence of arcana coming from it... But the cyclone itself was massive! It was a whirlwind of pure magic, sucking everything in. Dust and dirt swirled in it, obscuring my vision. Before I knew it, I was sucked in! When I awoke, my head was spinning. The air was knocked out from my lungs and I almost struggled to breathe because of the leftover dust. Shaking it off, I manged to regain my balance but I felt drained... It was like something siphoned my arcana straight from me... I'm assuming that it was The Wound's doing... It was a peculiar feeling... As I looked around, I saw Jericho spitting dirt from his mouth. It was entertaining to say the least. But, there was also Asuka and Lyn. They seem to have regained their senses before us. Yet, I soon realized that Azael, Eli, and Pollux weren't with us. Me and Jericho called out for them, but it attracted unwanted guest. Strange creatures seemed to scuttle toward us at an incredible speed. All of us tried to hide in a the wreckage of the ship, but as I climbed up, the loose metal collapsed from under my hand, causing me and Jericho to take a tumble. We got to our feet but we were surrounded! We got a closer look ( way too close for comfort!) and they were these quadruped creatures along with claws and tentacles erupting from it's face. They were a strange mix of crustacean, insect, and I believe serpent because it's tail was snake-like. I struck one in what I believe was its mouth was, with the tentacles protruding from it. It didn't seem to do much... It retaliated and struck me. That blow was enough to make me black out from the pain, considering that I was still wounded from the cyclone. As I lay there bleeding, I felt this feeling of warmth fill me up. I had this burst of energy flow through me and I stood back up. I looked at my side and the wound the creature had caused earlier was gone. I retaliated at the creature that struck me earlier as it was focusing on Jericho. Abruptly, a strange metallic sound came from behind the ship. It grew louder and louder until it appeared from the corner of my eye. The bow of a flying ship emerged from behind the wall. It blasted all the the creatures into smithereens. I turned towards the ship and I realized that the ship wasn't flying... It was walking! A metallic voice echoed from the ship and asked if we were alright. It told us to come aboard and it would keep us safe. An elevator came down from the top of the ship. We all went on the elevator and it took us up. When we got up, we saw our saviors. They were metal men. Automatons but not really. Almost like the ones in the ruins. However, they seemed more lively in a sense. One of them, L8, introduced themselves as the captain of the ship. He explained that they were trapped in the Scar but it also keep them alive. They were created to fight in the Great War. Their masters are long gone and their purpose has been served. Now they try to survive as best as they can. I was worried and scared to ask, considering it was too much, but I asked them if they were willing to help us find our friends. Surprisingly, they were alright with it! I'm so thankful that they're kindhearted... Well, their cores are warm! Uhhhhhh... you get the point. Well diary, I'm gonna get some rest on this ship while I can. I'll continue this later... It was quite enjoyable writing again! Maybe I can tell these stories to my siblings back home! Maybe even father... If he isn't mad at me anymore anyways... But he's probably still upset. Maybe even livid...
