Session 1: Delving into the Temple

by Rhosynn Adenyyid

Day 1:
We ventured out to gather the statue that Professor Rathfield, some token they desired, for a promise of payment of five hundred gold.

When we came upon a dilapidated building, greeted by broken windows and a sign of warning. It seemed this was a breeding ground for some animal and the sign advised us to keep out. Since we had to retrieve from the building we headed inside the dark and dank enclosure. Inside I found a small bipedal lizard and when I noticed them I tried to communicate. This seemed to startle the creature and it ran off into the darkened side of the temple. As we kept investigating we found a staircase and decided to head down into the depths.

-------------------------------------------------
Once there we found a room lit with enchanted torches and a lone door. Continuing we found several hallways connected to a few more doors. One door was especially hardy looking. Our dexterous friend Lizzie tried to pick it's lock but was unable, and even a crowbar seemed unable to move it as much as Tatyi tried. We moved further down the halls and found a room of destroyed books and furniture but one desk still withstanding. There was a large hole in the wall which I moved into but the open chamber was just full of numerous bones.

-------------------------------------------------
We found a key inside the desk, and lucky for us it opened that very hardy door.

<The text now gets a bit more shaken>

-------------------------------------------------
The statue was found, but it was guarded by some living statues and some sort of tendril. We fought them off just barely, broken and shattered. Now that the statue was in our hands we did go back upstairs and my curiosity got the better of me. There was a nest of those lizards, velociraptos, and they bite and scratched at me, but luckily my friends were able to kill two and the rest seemed off put. We had some food, I roasted up some of the raptors they killed and we made our way back to Bad Aching.

Day 2:
On our journey we heard the call of wolves on the trail. Lizzie and Tatyi moved forward subtly and tried to see what was happening. I moved in with them and we found a man standing on a coach, his horse slain and torn to shreds by several wolves who surrounded him. Nashira tried to convince the man to come down and walk towards her, assuming the wolves might keep away. It appeared to work, oddly enough.

The man was wearing a necklace with a wolf fetish, a gift from his late grandfather a "Probably will be killed by a Wolf" Jackson, which appeared to keep the wolves away from him, but only so far.

Scratch that, the necklace was what the wolves wanted. Once he removed it one of the beasts tore it to shreds and they ran off into the woods. His grandfather died in a cart accident. Tatyi offered the man to travel with us but he declined. After digging into his supplies to gifted Nashira a set of exceptionally clean leather armor, then proceeding to gather the supplies that remained and left us standing in the road.
