I don't even know anymore...

I've been with the Shimmercloaks for a week, and in it they've taken on deadly fights over and over. Are they all crazy! Though at least it seems they fight to help, to conquer evil and fix injustice. We saved Stawford and no one stayed dead... So i guess that's an improvement on the last big fight... where Vrondiss died... Most went off to sleep, exhausted from the battle, but Vrondiss was insistent that he needed to see his mother right away. After consulting my star map I figure only good can come from staying in Stawford... We get to her house, and it's seemingly empty until he took us down to the basement. She came out of her laboratory and.. i swear i saw a chair with arm restraints... and blood.. Maybe I'm just tired, but Vrondiss is a little... short sighted. It's possible his mother isn't a good woman... I think Mauvas was worried about this being a possibility... he's stoic and wound up... I wonder if she'll let me see her lab, i hope it's all a misunderstanding..
