Survival

#On the trail to the inverted tower#

This would have changed everything for us. If we didn't have to forage for food in unknown or dangerous areas, the herd could have continued to prosper. This blasted winter will hopefully be dealt with among the powers that are. In the mean time we could have endured this trial though. Spirits guide them to harvests of plenty while they travel.

Would they let me take the cauldron and go to my people? Would I repay them for the debt of my rescue at a later date? Would they even last? No....I fear the ten towns will be swallowed soon by the snowdrifts. Some of the communities seem to work at swallowing eachother, crime as common as chaff in the harvest. Even my own party here... do they trust eachother? Comfort eachother? Is it just that they are withdrawn during a time of trial? It's times like these we are drawn together and character is forged the grandmother would say. Does that work among other kids? The firbolg at least understood this and stood with us in times of hardship bearing our burden alongside us.

They hold the tool to sway at least one of the ten town and make no move. For the better it could be put to work though...that same tool is left to rust or they don't move to discuss it even? Is there some way I can aid in the judgment of paths then?

These old volumes will keep my mind sharp then at least during the long hours of darkness and aid in understanding the threads I pull and spirits besearched hopefully. Or at least with something practical besides the arcane hopefully.

Someone expected recovering or finding something in this place...they sought out something buried within. A treasure of meaning or power? The same that lead to its downfall...heh...or displacement?
