False Confidence

Here is what Sami'il remembers.
 
He was born sometime during the summer around 30 years ago. He had a mother, a father, five older brothers, and a little sister. His favorite color was blue, he liked cats, and sweets and laying in the grass all day. His mother was always there, cooking and cleaning and scolding and tucking them in at night. She was always there until she wasn't. Their father was always kind. He gave Sami'il the name 'Sami' and ruffled his hair, and let him ride on his shoulders. His father was kind....until he wasn't.
