The Island Serpent

So, I've completed my first job since arriving. Meeting up with the rest of my colleagues went fairly smoothly, although as I only knew one of them, it was fairly awkward. Another issue that repeatedly arose was the resident alcoholic strongman, who was bellowing at the top of his lungs at any opportunity he had, and usually directly into my ears. The job itself went fairly well. We fought off some aquan-esque folk on a ghost ship. Had a close encounter with a snake that was large enough to coil to the size of a fairly decent island. Found a predominantly elven upper class there, and were tasked by the king, while still in the midst of the first job, to retrieve a stolen emerald for him. Although, the compensation he provided for preforming the task was quite agreeable. After receiving a new, neigh-bottomless quiver, along with some magical ammunition, we set off to face the warlock that had stolen the emerald. More combat broke out, but eventually we were able to kill him, and take it back. We gave it to the serpent under the island, where we found out it was so she could create viable eggs. We then exposed the fact the king's court wizard was secretly seeking to sabotage the operation. Then we got back and got paid.
