As the events of the night appear to be winding down, Slaahg would have himself one last cup of tea as he lets himself take a breath for the first time since he joined up with the others helping out in the dorms. While sipping on his tea, he begins to hear murmurs from people saying they saw Ioth repairing the barrier surrounding the school, and relief from Ioth emerging mingles with the calming scent of his tea. He thanks anyone that is still around for letting him aid them and lets them know that if they could ever use his help again, he’ll be there. When the caretakers come by, he lets them usher him back to his room while giving the other students still present a departing pat on the back/shoulder.
The previously felt relief quickly fades when Slaahg closes the door to his room and is replaced by a mixture of emotions, anger and sorrow being chief among them. Anger at the Sovereign of the Sky for taking his petty squabble with the school out on the innocent refugees living near the school. Sorrow for the refugees for not even being a part of this dispute, but forced into facing the consequences nonetheless. The feeling of grief still manages to seep in from the outside, and Slaahg hums a somber tune to himself until he eventually drifts off to sleep. A restless sleep that is filled with nightmares he has managed to avoid since coming to Ioth Academy. Nightmares of him hiding under the floor as his home is overrun by Infernal forces. The screams of his family and the laughter of their butchers as he had to choke down his sobs in order to not be found. The sights he had to endure when he eventually left his safe haven being mixed with flashes of scenes from the attack that just occurred. Slaahg wakes drenched in sweat knowing one thing; if he wants to keep what happened to his family from happening to other people, he still has a long way to go.
