My Parent's Past

with my home being destroyed I feel like I need to write the past down so it is not lost to the winds of time.
 
My father, Dave Ashlock, came from the noble Ashlock family who have been adventurers who fight demons in and out of the abyss, it is tradition in the family for the eldest son to always be taught the way of the Abyssal Swordsman, a unique fighting style developed by the founder of our family to fight demons, however it is not unheard of the younger sons and daughters being taught the fighting style as well, whenever a member of the family became an adventurer they were allowed to inherit the title of the Abyssal Swordsman with the eldest son being highly encouraged to take the title, this would sometimes result in multiple Abyssal Swordsman existing at a time which I believe was the intention of our founder to have demon fighters across the world.
 
On the other hand we have my mother, Ruby Duivel named after her bright red eyes, an amazing mage from an unknown family who through her use of conjuration magic to bring forth servants of the hells gained her the title "Duchess of Devils", she could always be found in places ravaged by the abyss sending in devils to fight back the demons as she helped the citizens to safety after which she joined in the fray herself, which is where she met my father and an age old questions was answered as love bloomed on the battlefield.
 
No matter how little sense it makes I sometimes think back on the stories the two shared with me and I hope that somewhere out there they are still alive and kicking as well as my sister Jade, hopefully I learn something about what happened to her soon
