A Kalashtar that was the leader of his Tribal Guard, and taken away from it for a higher calling and important mission. He's never been exposed to most of the world, so that can cause him to be a bit naive.

Just when he thought he was sufficiently filling the shoes of the ailing Chief, he was spirited away by the God of Honor himself, Beastro the Honorbull. The boisterous god would go on to explain that he was forming a team made up of bizarre and extraordinary people.
When the vast scope of the mission was laid out before him, he fully understood just how important it was... but he couldn't outright abandon his people. As of now, he's trying to think of a way he can balance the two, but it may not be possible, he may have to forsake his tribe.
Appearance
Physical Description
Nightingale is a 6'6, 254-pound guy, so I think it's fair to say he's pretty ripped. In fact, my main inspirations for him physically are the Pillar Men from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Broly from Dragonball, specifically the recent redesign. With their powers combined, he's both built like a truck and shredded.
Body Features
He has well-tanned skin; long, unkempt black hair; and piercing emerald eyes. I don't think any parts of his body are too unusual per se, but he's definitely riddled with scars from various hunts and battles, the most prominent of which are two very large scars between his shoulder blades.
Facial Features
Nightingale has a pretty square jaw and not an iota of facial hair; he's pretty clean-cut. He has a pretty prominent brow, and I don't know how to describe noses, but I guess it would be pretty standard.
Identifying Characteristics
Aside from his height and bulk, his eyes seem to almost glow, especially in the dark. Nightingale's garb is pretty unmistakable as well, not many people in the world dress like him.
Physical quirks
His scars and his eyes are largely the quirks that are noticeable about Nightingale.
Apparel & Accessories
Since he doesn't use armor, he just wears some nice bracers and an outfit somewhat similar to the default Kalashtar male minus the sleeves mixed with the garb of Warpath from the X-Men. He's also got a bear pelt tied around his waist, which is the pelt of a pet grizzly bear he used to hunt alongside. Nightingale has a simple spear at his side that he uses as a walking stick as well as a weapon.

Personal history
I'm just gonna paste his backstory here.
Nightingale grew up as part of a nomadic tribe of the Kalashtar. They would trek the Outlands and the planes constantly, never staying in one place for too long but keeping their traditions just the same. Such was the case when it came to Nightingale’s first hunt.
Nightingale was the son of the leader of the Tribal Guard, at the age of ten, he was only four years away from being tested for the prestigious position. Therefore, his first hunt was to be an exciting affair, as it was for his father, and his father before him. The tribe had always gone to the same mountainside, where some of the most dangerous game would roam, and as it would happen, a terrifying foe awaited them on the mountainside. As soon as the hunting party began tracking a pack of wolves, an angry grizzly bear savagely attacked the party, swiftly dispatching three expert hunters. It would take the rest of the hunting party 15 minutes to recover, outmaneuver, and outmatch the bear, with Nightingale’s father striking the killing blow, calling for a feast later that night.
After the fight was finally over, Nightingale wandered away from the party, never having seen this place before. As he was wandering off he heard a high-pitched growl come from behind a nearby bush. What he found was a smaller version of the creature his father and his men just killed, but this one looked far too small and helpless to hurt anyone, so Nightingale decided to take it along with him, and he had even thought of a name for it, Gryllzly. He knew his father wouldn’t want him to, the Tribal Guard leader was far too strict to allow that, so Nightingale hid the small bear in the woods near their tent before joining his father and the hunting party at the feast.
Unfortunately for Nightingale, he was never very good at hiding anything, his father found him playing with Gryllzly the night before they were meant to leave the mountainside. Instead of an angry response like Nightingale was expecting, his father was uncharacteristically approving of his newfound pet, and in the coming years, it would become clear why.
The years that followed that first hunt proved to be very fruitful for the Kalashtar, as Nightingale and Gryllzly became the tribe’s best hunting duo. Nightingale had come into his own as a warrior over those four years, his constant wrestling with a growing grizzly bear being a key reason for it. He was finally ready to test his true might as a warrior and fulfill his birthright, to face the trials of becoming the new leader of the Tribal Guard.
The first trial would perhaps be the most difficult task of all, defeating his father in single combat. For as long as Nightingale had lived, he knew his father was by far the best warrior of the Kalashtar tribe. He was never the largest or strongest man in the tribe, but instead the most dextrous and skilled with weapons, easily besting any opponent he came across. He was not only who Nightingale had to live up to, but also had to soundly defeat in battle. It was a tall order, but one that Nightingale had spent his whole life preparing for.
Nightingale had just barely beaten his father. His incredible strength paired with the endurance he had built up running alongside Gryllzly for years had made up for his inexperience, and the clear gap in skill between the two. His father congratulated him after the battle, and with that, his trial of skill was over.
Next Nightingale had a test of his durability and trust in the gods, a leap of faith off of a waterfall. Nightingale was understandably terrified by the prospect of hurling himself off a cliff, but at least there was a lake that he’d be falling into, so that set his mind at ease, if only slightly. He didn’t have much of a choice if he wanted to succeed his father, so he plunged himself off of the cliff, holding out hope that he’d survive the fall. Miraculously, he came out the other side with little damage done to his body which was surprising at the very least. Nightingale was hoping that his final trial would be as surprisingly simple as this one.
Nightingale’s father outright refused to tell him what the final trial would be. He didn’t find it surprising, but he wished that his father wouldn’t be so secretive all the time, especially since he was about to take over the position his father held so dear. The only thing Nightingale knew about the trial was that it would take place in the camp, which was unusual considering even his showdown with his father took place outside of town. Finally, his father came to get him and brought him to the Tribe Chief's communal tent, not strange since something as important as the coronation of the leader of the Tribal Guard. What was strange was the intense smell of blood coming from the tent, maybe it was a sacrifice. Then Nightingale stepped into the tent and saw something he wasn’t expecting, something horrifying. Gryllzly was propped up on several spears, his blood plastering the grass beneath him. Not even in his years of hunting had Nightingale seen a sight so repulsive, and he was utterly shocked by it, so much so that he didn’t hear anything that his father had just said. He started to collapse to his knees, but his father caught him and laid him on a table in the tent. Nightingale then watched his father walk over to Gryllzly and reach into his chest, he had grabbed the heart. His father's hands were covered in viscous, dripping blood, and he placed the heart onto Nightingale's chest. He then took the blood on his hands, and painted Nightingale's face with it, down his forehead and nose, around his eyes, around his jaw, and from below his lip to under his chin, though most of the blood was running down his face along with his tears. Suddenly Nightingale felt a jolting pain throughout his body, and it wouldn't stop, it was like a constant electric current pulsing within him constantly. When he looked down at himself, he saw that's exactly what it was, his skin was a pale white, not the tan it usually was. He began screaming at the top of his lungs. He then felt an excruciating stabbing pain and something emerging from his back. He looked, and saw stone wings behind him, the combination of this pain and his thrashing because it made him crumple to the floor. The last thing he saw before he passed out was his father looking down at him with a self-satisfied smile and saying, "Congratulations son, it's all yours now."
Education
Nightingale has almost no education. He has learned survival skills primarily, and he learned about his Quori spirit from a wise-man in his tribe's sacred mountains, but most formal education has escaped him.
Employment
He's the leader of the Tribal Guard, but that's more of a duty that was passed off to him, not employment.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Nightingale's the first Kalashtar to rebond with a Quori spirit after a massive culling event. He trained a wild bear as a hunting partner. He was chosen by a god for a special mission to take out a massive threat.
Failures & Embarrassments
He considers his father leaving the tribe his fault. The fact he couldn't control his Quori for so long is a source of shame for him.
Mental Trauma
Nightingale is still traumatized by the sacrificial ceremony he took part in at the end of his trials. Gryllzly propped up and bloody on spears is an image that will never leave his mind. The immense physical, spiritual, and emotional pain that was paired with it stay with him to this day.
Intellectual Characteristics
Nightingale's intellectual characteristics are limited to tracking, fighting, and hunting, only one of which is typically considered mentally taxing. The sole intellectual trait I'd say he has is his natural curiosity.
Morality & Philosophy
Nightingale's philosophy is fairly simple, do anything he can to protect the tribe. It's the only thing his father left him, so he treats it as his sole purpose in life. Selflessness is paramount to Nightingale, but ironically when it comes to the greater good, he's surprisingly selfish. He's not particularly a big-picture guy, but how could he be when his world is so small? When his world expands though, I'm certain he'll pick the greater good; he's not intelligent perse, but he's wise enough to make the right decision.
person.sexuality
I haven't really thought much about this, as Nightingale's not a sexual character at all, but I'd assume he's straight; tribes are all about creating the next generation.
person.gender_identity
He's cisgender; I don't even think he'd have the time, or space in his head, to ponder this.
Taboos
I don't even know if this is what he thinks is taboo, or what taboos he would check the boxes for.
Known Languages
Common, Celestial, Giant, Infernal, Quori, Thieves' Cant.
Personality
Motivation
Protecting his village, the duty that his father left behind. Then, by extension, protecting the world.
Quotes & Catchphrases

Hygiene
He keeps as tidy as possible, but as a nomad, he and his tribe aren't around water all the time and can't afford to waste it.
