Homin

Homins are a species that are unique among humans due to their distinctive long, prehensile tails and hand-like feet capable of well-articulated movements making them more at home in the trees then they are on the ground. They are also short in stature, most below four feet in height even in adulthood.
ability score increase:
age: Homins reach adulthood in their 20s, and usually live to be 120 years old.
Size: Small
speed: 30 ft, climb equal to your walking speed
Languages: Common
race features:
Natural Climber: Homins have a climb speed equal to walking speed.   Dexterous Feet: You have proficiency in either Acrobatics or Athletics. As a bonus action, you can use your feet to manipulate an object, open or close a door or container, or pick up or set down a Tiny object. If you use both of your feet simultaneously to interact with an object, your speed becomes 0 until your next turn.   Prehensile Tail: Homins have long agile tails that are prehensile. Your tail is muscular and very long, about the same as your body length, and can support your weight if you aren't encumbered (e.g. while hanging from a branch). While the tail is used primarily to assist in climbing and keeping the hands free for foraging and carrying, you can also use it to do the following simple tasks: lift, drop, hold, push, or pull an object up to 10 pounds; open or close a door or a container; grapple a creature that is size Small or smaller. Your GM might allow other simple tasks to be added to that list of options. Your tail can’t wield weapons or shields or do anything that requires manual precision, such as using tools or magic items or performing the somatic components of a spell.   Limit Break: Homins are always striving to push themselves. As a reaction, when you fail Strength, Dexterity or Constitution ability check or saving throw, you can remake the check and must take the new result. Once you use this ability, you can't use it again until you complete a long rest.   Versatile: You gain the Skilled Talent or another Background Talent of your choice.
Homins mostly resemble humans with proportionate dwarfism, although their arms are slightly longer, as they can put their hands on their knees without them bending their legs. The major distinctive differences from other human species besides size are their prehensile feet with longer grippable toes and a opposable thumb and their fully prehensile tail that extends from the lower base of spine and covered with a fine layer of hair, the same color as that on their head.   Even with humble beginnings in the high leafy canopies of tropical forests, their drive, curiosity, and fighting spirit allowed them to settle in various forests the world and even grow new woodlands to improve their livelihood. Their lifestyle and mannerisms have also led to the race having relatively good relations with most other races of the world.
