Blood Hawks get their name from their crimson feathers and aggressive nature. A group of Blood Hawks, called a murder, fearlessly attack almost any animal, including humanoids, stabbing their prey with dagger like beaks. They tend to flock together in large numbers ranging from 10-30 adults. Using their numerical advantage and ability to fly, they will attack as a pack to take down prey. They make for fast and maneuverable as well as stubborn opponents who will continue to fight despite suffering grievous injuries. Male Blood Hawks often took gems from the corpses of their humanoid prey, which they would use to decorate their nests to attract females. It is not uncommon to find a Blood Hawk nests and a small fortune of gems within it.
