Info for the Lascarians: You live and work in Athanor 2, an underground company town run by Open Vein Excavation. Over the last several months there have been more and more cases of Bad Brain in the population to the point that its approaching an epidemic. Local doctors are only able to triage the worst cases and are denying treatment to anyone who doesn't absolutely need it. OVE has also locked down the town to prevent the spread of the disease, but you've snuck out to seek treatment in Ellistown Landing because you've heard rumors there are good doctors there. You don't have a lot to trade for treatment, but you'll give what little you have (OVE pays its wages in company scrip that exchanges poorly for Shells).   If asked about the origins of the Bad Brain outbreak you aren't sure, but there are rumors that there's something wrong with the supply of flesh that OVE feeds its predominantly Gorger workforce. Some have started avoiding it but going too long without also has downsides.   If asked why you don't go hunt for yourselves, most of you grew up within the Bailey walls and don't know how. Besides that hunting living people is frowned upon in the Bailey unless its being done as capital punishment, and that's mostly monopolized by other Lascarian groups. You and your kin find yours where you can and right now that's with OVE.   You all have at least Stage 2 Bad Brain, with some having Stage 3. You want help but also are dirt broke and the symptoms of Bad Brain may make you lash out. Its also been a while since you've eaten any decent flesh and its made you a bit "hangry."
