Special Abilities Armored Hide (3): +3 Natural Armor Boost to Armor Score.   Arboreal: Eshilen Vipers treat their movement speed as equal to a climbing speed as well. They also have the Momentum and +4 on any Athletics rolls they need to make for climbing.   Bulky: Add 1/2 of Constitution Modifier as Deflection modifier to AC.   Heat Sense: Eshilen Vipers like many snakes, have poor eyesight, yet they navigate the world as if they've a strong awareness of what is around them, particularly once they locate prey. This is due to the unique senses tied to their tongue. They basically can pinpoint warm-blooded creatures around them at an impressive radius, detecting their body heat. This has a 50 foot range. Within that range they have +2 on all Perception checks   Environmental Familiarity (Marshes, Swamps, Wetlands): This creature is naturally very comfortable in the cold woodlands, wetlands and hills. They never have any challenge with that terrain in its natural form. It cannot suffer any movement penalties from any natural effects of terrain within these biomes.   Misty Presence: Eshilen Vipers environments of choice are often naturally misty and foggy as it is. However adult specimens have a known phenomenon, seeming to naturally produce a mist or fog themselves, raising the impedement of this weather around them by one step for any creature within 30 feet of it.   Silent and Deadly: Eshilen Vipers are masters of stealth and ambush. They have +4 to Stealth checks, and gain the benefit of Ambush Dice. They get to add this dice to damage with any attack they make on a target that hasn't acted yet in the initiative or was unaware of their presence. Their Ambush Dice is 1d6   Swimmer: Eshilen Vipers seem to have similar ability to water moccasins, able to swim quite well. They get +4 to any Athletics skill checks to swim, and treat their natural movement speed as a swim speed also.   Defensive Bite: Like almost any mundane viper, Eshilen Vipers do not like their space being crammed, they do not take well to intrusion into their personal space. As a reaction to any creature moving to be within 5 feet of it, an Eshilen Viper can attempt to attack that creature with a bite attack.
