Cyclopes are one-eyed giants that eke out a meager existence in the wild places of the world. Isolationists by nature, they avoid contact with other races and try to drive away strangers in their territory. Though reasonably intelligent, cyclopes live simple, reclusive lives, keeping herds of animals for food. They prefer to dwell alone or in small family groups, lairing in caves, ruins or rough structures of dry stone construction they build themselves.
Cyclopes live in wild regions, often rugged and with little access to the roads or pathways formed by other sentient races. They can be found in hills, mountains, and coastal regions though some groups have been reported in forests temperate, taiga and tropical. Some can even be found in cold environments or subterranean settings.
