Sea Vision. You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions, as well as underwater. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. You can see under water as clearly as on land (with the same limitations for light conditions). Keen Senses. You have proficiency in the Perception skill. Water does not impair your Perception rolls in any way (for example, a nearby rushing waterfall doesn't impose any penalty on a roll to discern sound, and being fully submerged in a lake, you can see and hear clearly out to the normal range, both under and above the water). Fey Ancestry. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep. Trance. Elves don't need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is "trance.") While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep. If you meditate during a long rest, you finish the rest after only 4 hours. You otherwise obey all the rules for a long rest; only the duration is changed. Azure Elf Training. You have proficiency with the scimitar, spear, trident, light crossbow, and net, as well as the Athletics skill and water vehicles. Hold Breath. You can hold your breath for 3 minutes plus another 3 minutes for every point of constitution modifier (minimum 3 minutes). Friend of the Sea. Using gestures and sounds, you can communicate simple ideas with any beast that has an innate swimming speed.
