The Galvani family has been making armor for Pinion knights since the time of the first Decrept War. This magical breastplate was crafted by Marquis Luis Galvani for his own personal use. His research and personal fascination with constructed life led to the unique qualities of this armor. In addition to being +1 Breastplate, the armor has soul trapping properties. If the wearer dies while this armor is donned and attuned, their soul will be collected into the armor. It will fuel the armor, allowing the soul to pilot the armor. It can rise from the ground and float, carrying the body with it.

The breastplate has a movement speed of 15 while animated in this way and can perform no other actions beyond movement, never more than 5ft off the ground. If resurrection magic is attempted, it will fail as long as the breastplate is in tact and the soul is contained.
