The Rainbow Sphere is a fragment of the Rainbow Bridge contained within a one foot orb of flawless crystal.   The Rainbow Bridge was a film of energy that flowed across the Astral Sea connecting the Inner Planes and the Prime Material along with its Demi-Planes.   The Rainbow Bridge was at least partially shattered when the Arch-Fiend Asmodeus moved the Nine Hells away from the Abyss.

A sphere of flawless crystal six inches in diameter. Anyone looking into the sphere will start to see a swirling rainbow of coloured light.
