Uncommon Abjuration
This small green and black worm is constantly weaving a tiny silk cocoon. It is happy to stay in a pocket or hidden somewhere on your person because it delights in the body heat. Being alone and away from heat for too long can cause them to perish. In turn, they take the source of their heat very seriously and treasure it. They make for a fabulously loving pet, although most of their time is consumed in weaving.
If a person keeping a Cocoon Worm falls in combat the worm immediately notices the heat leaving their body and puts a stop to it! On your next turn when you would roll a Death Save, instead you are automatically stabilized as the worm pulls a thread on its cocoon, all of that silk it has been weaving bursts out and wraps around you. Any damage you take is reduced by 5 and your AC increases by 2. But you are restrained in the cocoon and stabilized. If healed to consciousness, the person inside the cocoon is blinded, restrained, and it will take two rounds to extract themselves. Once they have started to tear themselves out they no longer benefit from the damage reduction or armor class increases.
This ability only works once per week, it takes that long for the worm to rebuild their cocoon in your pocket.
