The thick wool sheared from Hipposheep at the start of spring is prized for sailors and rivermen alike. It can be used to make waterproof wear including socks, sweaters, slacks, most anything in the hands of a master weaver. But most importantly, outfits crafted from the material grant the wearer Resistance to Cold damage.
But such material is rare. There is only one day that the Hipposheep are ready for shearing, and if you miss it they go out to sea and come back shaved down by the surf.
