A speaker vine is a small leafy vining plant much like a pothos or other vining heart shaped leaf houseplant. Speaker vines can be connected to another vine, or even a group of other vines. It all depends on how their clippings have been collected and treated.

Four times per year a mature Speaker Vine can be clipped and cloned. It requires a DC 17 Herbalism Kit check with Dexterity, failure ruins the leaf and it won’t be viable.

All Speaker Vines from the same original plant are connected. By speaking to them from within 5 feet, the leaves catch the vibrations of your voice and the sibling vines all vibrate with the same frequency. Anyone within 5ft of any of the sibling vines can hear a faint humming and whisper of the voice. Often lovers will keep these plants when they know they must be separated, each taking one plant so they always have a way to speak to the other.
