This is the ritual by which the people who work at the Sundelier Station fill and prepare the Sundelier. The process has all the pomp and circumstance of a flag ceremony mixed with the prayerful incantations of a religious service. Many thanks are given for the light provided and celebratory accolades given for the city’s ingenuity. By filling the chandelier’s central chamber with refined Fungalite they power the device.
The spell requires one gallon of Refined Fungalite per hour of light desired.
The ritual culminates in the Sundelier levitating from the station to some 20 feet below the cave ceiling and gradually increasing the radius of light it sheds over the following hour until the cavern is illuminated with Bright Light. It consumes a gallon of Fungalite per hour, when half of the fuel has been consumed, it will transition over an hour to shedding only Dim Light. And during the final hour, the radius of light shed will diminish as the chandelier sinks back towards the ground, returning to the station empty and spent.
