Session 5 - 3/6/2020

General Summary

Huren (the 9th month) 19, 1610 (continued) - New allies we might rather do without!

Wyd Mar'jinn saw a sky-boat fall out of the sky and tumble across the grass land west of his village of Ssha-kaak.   At the crash site he finds Puck, some food (oranges, dried meat). Puck tags along as Wyd leaves (wolves are circling the area and gnawing on food stuffs that were flung from the crash).
Puck, Wyd and the Lizardfolk village
Wyd goes back to the village - everyone is quite astir over the pink skinned Puck. Wyd's sister, Vas-slyk, tries to stir up trouble against Wyd accusing him of bringing a cursed idiot into their midst and that the gods will be angry with them.   Karkam - the lead elder of the village - sizes up Puck and decides he is mostly weak, useless and better off with his kind of people - no curse from the gods will come. Other large sky-boats have been seen... Wyd is instructed to get rid of Puck by giving him back to his people... but if Wyd is in danger, it would be better to abandon Puck and save himself. They will leave in the morning.
Karkam
Vas'slyk
That night Vas-slyk and a lackey attempt to sneak into the sleeping hut for who knows what purposes... but the alert Wyd tussles with his sister trying to driver her off. Puck cowers in the corner. Vas is knocked unconscious. The lackey moves towards Puck as does Wyd, panicked Puck uses magic.   The lackey is stunned and flees from the pink-skin's use of forbidden magic and runs off snarling and alerting the village. Vas is woken up and she slinks off into the night vowing to get revenge.   Wyd Mar'jinn and Puck depart while its still dark and head west.
Egon - travelling east - meets Wyd and Puck
(We retcon that Jarkthe Kobold (Played by Owen) is traveling with the group).   From some distance off they spot Wyd and Puck approaching. Wyd the Lizardfolk and Jark the Kobold snarl at one another while Egon tries to have a conversation with Puck which seems to be difficult. Egon then tries to have a conversation with Wyd which also proves difficult.   Egon learns more about what lies east - another ruins rumored to be inhabited by a "hairy, flying climbing thing and its tribe", and further east the Lizardfolk village of Ssha-kaak. Wyd seems intent upon NOT going to the grove of Walnut trees as it is the "natural" border iinto "hairy, flying, climbing things domain". It also likely that going to the Lizardfolk village will not be good for the Koblold Jark.   Reluctantly Egon tells Puck to come with him and heads off to the grove of walnut trees - Wyd is invited to come or go as it suits him... apparently it suits him as he follows.
In the grove of walnut trees
The path that Jargon Burley, the lumber jack (and others) took to reach the trees is followed... it appears they did not probe too deep into the small woods and so they push in further. They discover a stream that will be handy for the future village, and that the grove seems to be centered around a notable hill. While moving through the woods, they can't help but feel watched.   Wyd and Jark smell an odor in the air... Jark is unfamiliar with it... Wyd thinks it maybe the pint-sized green skins. Sure enough Jark spots a goblin about to unleash an arrow, combat erupts. The goblins are defeated, but one tries to flee. It is caught (ts name is Hashik). Under interrogation he reveals the goblin leader is in the hill lair, he then tries to scratch and claw his way free from Wyd's grip and the goblin is slain.
