Personal history

Tootsie grew up in a very large family with lots of siblings. It was natural to compete for attention from their parents, causing Tootsie to often get overlooked as a child. To compete, Tootise's nature can best be described as "loud and proud." She's agressive and strong because she feels like she needs to be to get any sort of attention. It were these characteristics that caught Zachary Brach's attention. Mix that with Tootsie's craving for attention and the two became fast "friends."

It wasn't until it was too late Tootsie realized what she had gotten herself into. Zach relentlessly bullied other students at Duke Klondike's Knight Academy which Tootsie was mostly an observer of. She occasionally hopped in with the verbal berating, she never joined in on the physical. And then, everything changed when Caven enrolled at the academy.

Tootsie thought about telling Kroger, or anyone for that matter, but worried that because of her history with Zach there would be backlash on her. In a family as big as hers it wasn't easy to get her enrolled at the academy, and she didn't want to risk having that taken away. So Tootsie just gritted her teeth and went on with it. She got more and more distant as Zach's torment got worse until she finally graduated and cut ties with both Zach and Kora.

She remains friends with Kroger but can never look him directly in the eyes. She still carries the guilt of what she did to Caven and so many other students, especially after Caven went missing. She honestly doesn't know if it's better or worse now that Caven's back.
