Glitter's Deep
Glitter's Deep is a trench of unknown depth located in The Pep Sea. It's deepest recorded depth is around 4500m, but it is estimated to go below 7000m.
The trench got its name due to the many minerals and gems that can be found around the 4000m mark and below.
Geography
The area around where the trench begins is extremely rocky, being described as "a miniature mountain range." In these rocks is where most of the gems and minerals can be found.
It is very cold due to little sunlight reaching the trench's entrance. One can only imagine how much colder and darker it gets deeper in....
Ecosystem
Many of the fauna and flora have adapted to the low temperatures and minimal sunlight, creating some freaks of nature.
Localized Phenomena
Hydrothermal vents can be found scattered throughout the trench, providing some warmth to those who find themselves in its depths.
Fauna & Flora
Natural Resources
Many, many gems and minerals. A geologist's dream; if only they weren't so deadly to try and recover.
History
It is theorized the trench was once a large canyon before Kiwano, God of Creation created the sea. When or how the trench first appeared is unknown.
