Caverns of the Shadowed Abyss

Deep within the caverns lies a font of Shadow Magic. Legend has it that during the The Sundering of Aelsh, one of the shards of the The Black Diamond that splintered off , carved out these caverns, creating a rift in reality. Some believe that as you traverse the tunnels formed by this shard, you may inadvertently step into the Shadowfell.
Additionally, there are small rifts rumored to open pathways to other planes, attracting creatures from both the abyss and the Shadowfell. Those aspiring to become master shadow magicians must undergo a trial rumored to be set forth by Vhaeraun himself.
