Sol
Holy Zir Sol Viveno
Sol is the twin sibling of Luna, and the adoptive child of Viveno Moon. They were a Paladin of Day, and have studied the old Iather religions of Faerie. Eventually, Sol was able to contact one of the old Iather gods, and has since been working as his paladin instead.
They are a very inquisitive person, like their brother. While Luna puts his energy into invention, Sol is more interested in culture.

Personal history
Like their brother, Sol was born and raised by their mother in Gracia. When they were young children, they were sent to live with their father at the Temple of Sky. He unfortunately had gone missing before they arrived, but they were raised by Viveno, his mentor.
What Sol remembers that Luna does not is that their mother was very sick when she had them sent away. Sol hasn't told Luna about this, because they don't want him to feel bad about forgetting. They firmly believed their mother and father were both dead for many years.
Unlike Luna, Sol did not doubt their religion in their teen years, though they admitted they found Iather mythology interesting. They excelled as a paladin, writer, and artist as a teenager. Sol did not pursue any higher education, but instead went straight into their work as a paladin. They assisted in the construction of three schools across Central Faerie, and spent several years working in a program teaching adults.
They returned to the temple when they were twenty two, and began working as a temple paladin and training alongside their brother to be a Guardian's liaison. Sol and Luna were deployed to investigate a strange magical disturbance, which turned out to be Skyler Jekal and her friends arriving in Faerie.
Sol at first felt they should report the humans, but Sarita convinced them to help. Sol and Luna both aided Skylar in discovering and foiling her parents' plan. Throughout the adventure Lexi Ayers took an interest in Sol's faith. Lexi would end up retaining a link to Faerie, and returning as she was able to train as a Priest of Day. Few members of the Order would accept the way Lexi divided her time between the worlds, but Sol voluntarily trained her.
When three Guardians were murdered as part of Vanessa's Avengers' plot to overthrow the monarchy, Sol, Luna, and Lexi were assigned to the new Guardians. Two of these Guardians turned out to be humans who had come with Skylar: Sarita Bates and Kiwi Ayers, who was Lexi's older sister. Sol was assigned as Sarita's celestial liaison.
Sol became close with Dadha Oriole and the rest of the royal family during the crisis. Sol participated in the battle at Fort Nike, where they suffered minor injuries.
Starting during the crisis and getting more intense afterwards, Sol had dreams of a familiar looking man who was trapped somewhere. They eventually learned from Viveno that this man was Sol and Luna's father, the Guardian of Dreams, who had become trapped in the Dream Realm after the Dream Rift crisis.
Sol set off to search for answers about their family, their past, and how to free their father. Sarita and Lilli accompanied Sol for part of this quest. Luna also stayed in contact with Sol, but couldn't accompany them as he had been assigned to keeping an eye on the allegedly reformed Vanessa's Avengers and the new Guardian of Tales.
Sol eventually found that they were getting the dreams from the Old Iather god of stories. He helped them contact their father, but could not free him.
