Appearance
Giotok is a lean man at a standing height of 5’10. He has wavy brown hair with a summer tan. Living his life in the swamp has given him a rigid look. Having been formally trained by a Southern Water tribe master he was given a blue tattoo on his right upper arm to signify his completion of his bending training.
Clothing
Giotok prefers to stay wearing his swamp vines and plant pants. These vines wrap around his ankles and are also located across his chest. Though this is not a professional appearance for most of the nations this is common attire for the people of the Foggy Swamp Tribe. When needed he has a dressy suit and tie for his formal government events and other weddings.
Personality
Giotok has always been extremely lively and upbeat. Oftentimes the people of the swamp compared Giotok to the badgerfrogs as a child because he was always hopping around the Huu Hollow. Being the social glowfly he is, he was able to become friends with everyone he met. This allowed for him not only to form strong bonds with the people of the swamp, but also allowed him to branch out into the Southern Water Tribe and the Fire Nation.
Life
Giotok has lived his entire life in the swamp, for it is as almost as the pants growing there give him life. His parents, being FST members, had lived in the capital city of Huu Hollow met and settled down to have me. They were humble farmers so they decided to keep to themselves and tend to the land, providing food for not only the swamp, but also for the north and south. As a child Giotok found himself making many friends and bonding with everyone he met. He also began befriending the many creatures of the swamp. Once he got old enough his parents allowed him to go to the South and learn the art of waterbending with a teacher because neither of them were benders. He stayed in the South for a few Months and became an Initiate where his training got cut short. His parents had ended up both dying due to a band of thieves attempting to steal food from the Swamp. Of course his two parents stood little chance at defeating the band of thieves because they were both not benders.
Having heard the news Giotok left the south, returning back to the Swamp where he became a farmer in an attempt to pick up where his parents left off. After farming for a few years he began to open a pet shop where he sells many animals to the people of the swamp. Also after studying Pandas that recently appeared in the borders of the Swamp Giotok took them in and built a Panda breeding center for them in the capital of the swamp.
After some time Giotok grew restless and decided to venture out to different nations in an attempt to become a part of a family again after losing his parents. Due to his energetic and passionate personality he was drawn to the Fire Nation. He would take frequent trips to the capital of Caldera and New Kasen in an attempt to meet new people. He made many friends but was never able to build a strong bond with someone.
One day while Giotok was tending to the capital City Farm he met a Fire nation girl named Liv. She was also very passionate about plants and growing food for her nation. After spending the day with Liv and giving her a tour they instantly fell in love.
A few months later they decided to get married to each other in the capital of the Fire Nation, Caldera. There they hosted many people from both the water tribe and fire nation, including Fire Lord Kozuko. Here Giotok was able to see the beautiful connection between the two nations. They both took the last name Daeyang, meaning Ocean in japanese.After the wedding Liv settled down in Nokorobi Island where Giotok purchased a small apartment on the island as an attempt to visit and see his wife more often. He traveled back and forth from Nokorobi to the Swamp where he permanently resides. Eventually his wife Liv opened up the New Kasen Food bank where the two of them farmed to feed the many people of the fire nation.
Eventually the two had twins. Tophiana is a rebellious earth bender and Koanak a fiery fire bender. Giotok was able to finally see parts of his parents in his daughter Tophiana, because they were both descendants of Water benders and Earth Kingdom citizens. And of course Koanak was a spitting image of his mother.After some time Giotok decided he wanted to rekindle his love for bending and joined the WT military. He left his children in the care of his amazing wife while he went off. After a few months of training he began to grow resentful with the idea of fighting, despite earning the rank of Marine and being a good fighter. He even discovered his dark power to blood bend while he was in the military. This made him violently ill with the idea of war and decided to leave the military. Swearing only to blood bend if it meant protecting the people he loved.
Despite not enjoying the idea of war he didn't enjoy recreational bending so much, he even created a Pro bending team where he played in republic city with his Wife, liv and his hard headed daughter, Tophiana.
Over time Giotok became a popular figure among the Water tribe, making friends with very powerful people. They noticed his dedication to the Fire Nation traveling back and forth. They saw how he would spend days traveling the ocean between the two lands in order to see the people he loved. These government officials also noticed how hard he not only worked in the fields to produce food for his people but how he worked to maintain multiple businesses and an animal sanctuary. After some time he was awarded the position of Ambassador of the Water Tribe to the Fire Nation. The WT officials truly admired his passion for peace as well. Once hearing the news Giotok was beyond excited.
Now we reach modern day, Ambassador Giotok Daeyang strives to maintain peace between two nations, keep his family safe, and still tries to plant a few crops when he can.
