The Laws of Ayun Sovos
Magic is plentiful and accessible in Ayun Sovos, and spellcasters can achieve practically any effect they dream of through spells and alchemy. Though accessible, magic is quite hard to learn, so fresh adventurers rely on the crafting of scrolls and potions until they are able to learn spells for themselves.
Cosmology
Ayun Sovos was a world born of mirth and cooperation between the gods of life and art. Once a stone set adrift in the nether sea, new life was breathed into this floating rock, which grew and hatched many times over, until the world as we know it now was born from its stony shell.
As the gods fostered the creation of many different biomes and creatures to reside within them, they thought to add sophonts to live among them, and to call these new biomes their homes. Because of their deep love for the creatures they have created, they shaped their sophontic creations in their image.
Principal Geography & Features
The geography of Ayun Sovos is varied and eccentric, with biomes of all kinds scattered throughout the world. Some of these biomes are quite natural and unremarkable, while others are magical in nature, sometimes escaping the bounds of the imagination.
Initial Active Setting
Our adventure begins in a bright, open grassland teeming with life and scattered farms and homesteads. The path ahead leads to a cozy town that sits right where the grasslands transition into a great forest — your new home!
