Dwarves

A hearty people, tough as the stone they carve with the strength to move the mountains themselves. Moradin's children the Dwarves and their resilience are said to come from the very rock they etch their history into. Stubborn and unmoving, in most cases, you are likely to see a mountain reduced to sand before you convince a dwarf that they are wrong.

Physical Description

Dwarves are known for their hardy, short, and muscular bodies, which is said to have been drawn from the earth itself. While most Dwarves stand under five feet in height, they are broad and muscular, making their weight generally on par with most humans. While in different areas, you may encounter a fair-skinned dwarf. Their skin tones typically take on more of a tan or earthen tone ranging from a deep brown to light brown with minor hues of red. Dwarven hair generally falls on the darker colors such as black, grey, and brown; however, red-haired dwarves are seen throughout the world.

race features:
Darkvision. Accustomed to life Underground, you have superior vision in dark and dim Conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in Darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness⁠, only Shades of Gray.   Dwarven Resilience. You have advantage on Saving Throws against poison, and you have Resistance against poison damage (explained in “Combat”).   Dwarven Combat⁠ Training. You have proficiency with the Battleaxe, Handaxe, light Hammer, and Warhammer.   Tool Proficiency. You gain proficiency with the artisan’s tools of your choice: smith’s tools, brewer’s supplies, or mason’s tools.   Stonecunning. Whenever you make an Intelligence (History) check related to the origin⁠ of Stonework, you are considered proficient in the History skill and add double your Proficiency Bonus to the check, instead of your normal Proficiency Bonus.
