Nyakwaiʼ Community
This community is a part of the Tonawanda Seneca Nation. They occupy a small territory in the Adirondack mountains away from the nations reservation. This is due to a conflict with their leadership that caused them to seek a home elsewhere.
The community has maintained Seneca traditions as much as they could but many have been lost. Some were replaced on purpose. The community chief is always a woman, who is chosen by the matriarchs. The community worships the mother bear.
Diplomatic Relations
The community is a part of the Adirondack Park Alliance. They joined only a few months after the alliance was founded. They had suffered losses in the Second Adirondack War where they had joined the Five Ponds Nation. They keep mostly to themselves, but maintain friendly relations with all of the members of the alliance and with the humans close by.
