Chapter 3
"We Need A Doctor-Doctor. Now."
General Summary
Zelada Zaydia, freed from Imperial custody, tries to find a doctor in the settlement that can take care of the wounded from their last encounter with the Imperials. Her first call got her a doctor, the esteemed Avaka Kemae, but she found out too late that Avaka was a scholar with a doctorate. When the two came back she witnessed Po Mor healing a person and Zaydia had to knock her unconscious to avoid her calling the police. Po then had to explain that not every doctor was the kind that healed people.
So Zelada went out again. She found a skilled cyberneticist named Alizaya Rimebau, and managed to get her aboard the ship but when the cyber-tech realized she wasn't going to get paid she made an attempt to call the 'troopers. The attempt was foiled by another swift and violent effort by Zelada. Then Po had to explain that very few doctors would accept the republic credits they had on offer.
So Zelada went out a third time. While passing a small and dingy clinic, she witnessed the doctor inside being threatened by two thugs. Zelada went inside, and the doctor took her money pouch for his services and handed it back to the thugs before sending them on their way. Just as they went outside, they blew up. The doctor, Kaados Muse, chuckled darkly, and said to Zelada two words: Thermal Detonator. The Doctor quickly gathered his things, told the secretary that she was no longer needed and left the building. The two went to the ship with the grumpy doctor taking point and urging people out of the way.
