Treason. The "Step" is called Treason.

This adventure has the first six pivotal characters (Kirana, Axelmos, Brexia, Nammee, Zel, and Zimex) come together and begin dreaming. They begin by slowly coming together after the Empire grinds them down. They leave planet to escape a crime syndicate and travel to a place that isn't on a map based entirely off of one mystic's visions. They find a planet with a Republic Supply Depot and a broken down capital ship orbiting it. Cries for help draw them to each place, and they rescue their sixth PC. On the ship they have a flash of a dreamlike-vision: This ship is theirs, and they fly across the vastness of space as a burning light of hope. A decision is made and the six stay together, using the broken capital ship as their base of operations, even though it is technically treason/piracy to do so.

Exposition

An Empty House:

Braxia returns to the surface to find that her team has left the supply depot without her. She has to walk back to base pushing a repulsor sled. When she returns to Base, it is abandoned. None of the buildings have anything in them, and all of the supplies are gone. Much of the Base has been stripped of anything useful. Braxia has to scrounge and build basic supplies and keep everything going until she can get off-planet or until she starves to death on a swampy hunk of space-rock.

Nammee's Dream:

Three Symbols merge - The Republic with a bar of mourning black shown twice, the Jedi Order's Sigil shown twice and all cascade in a whirlpool followed by the symbol of a Criminal Syndicate all merge at a shadowed planet where the Republic symbol can only barely be seen. The symbols whirl. The dream fades. Nammee kneels on a bridge in front of a blindingly bright white sun. Chiyo slowly kneels as well. The dream fades. A ship, broken down but with the potential to be beautiful, lies in the hangar. As Nammee's view circles above it, Stormtroopers with heavy weapons set up around the exits and prepare to take the ship and all five of them down as the doors open. The dream fades. Space, with a grey-green planet in view, while a voice tells her its not on any navigational map. She doesn't know the voice. The dream fades. just before she wakes she sees the armored bow of an unknown grey capital ship crest over the horizon of the planet.

Relations

Protagonists

The Republic Imperial Troops

Kirana Whitesun - A female Republic Naval Commander set to become captain of her own ship for the first time gets passed over by her Imperial Academy supervisor for the reasons of "Ethical Concerns." Namely, it was because she had had an ongoing relationship with a non-human prior to her advancement. Her replacement was a xenophobic, misogynistic, womanizing male officer who, in that moment, became a rival.

Axelmos Honore - A male squadron leader who served on the Commander's vessel for much of the Clone Wars, his close association with her called his loyalty into question. His answers were blunt and honest, and barely removed from the kind that get people disappeared. He was summarily dismissed dishonorably and given no back-pay.

Braxia Breichon - A female mechanic trapped on a Republic Supply Depot that got shuffled off the maps. Lost in her duties, she was well away when the Clone Wars ended, and missed transport back to the main lines. Now it has been several months, food is getting scarce and isolation is starting to get to her.

The Padawan Survivors

Caid Zhal - a Jedi Padawan that seeks to find one of the legendary places where the Jedi might gather. Unfortunately, tales of those places are long lost and thousands of cycles old. That means finding them will take criss-crossing the Galaxy while hunting down Jedi Artifacts. Nammee Vei has convinced him that going with her will allow him to meet his goals.

Nammee Vei - a Jedi Padawan that is mystically gifted with foresight. Her dreams have foreseen the importance of the people she is trying to find, and the task she must complete.

The Criminals

Tuzuto - A male Mirialan Scoundrel who owns a small freighter and is looking for a legal means of leaving the planet which has travel restricted.
