The destruction of a decade long friendship - the ending of two promising military careers, and the rise of a new Captain.

The Imperial Officers Jova Haqzey, Kirana Whitesun, and Axelmos Honors are summoned before a military tribunal. The three were the best of friends in the academy, and though Kirana's relatively early promotion to Commander caused some friction between her and Jova, the two remained friends. A new position had opened up with the implementation of a new governmental style reliant on the Navy, a Captaincy. All three were certain the position would be given to Kirana - as the most experienced at the posts of Lieutenant Commander and Commander. But in a startling upset, the posting was given to Jova by decree of the Admiralty. Obviously this angered Kirana, who demanded to know why.

The base administrator was happy to oblige the irate rim-world officer. Following the edict and the display of Jova's new ship via holotable, both Kirana and Axelmos were summarily discharged from the Imperial Navy for "Ethical Concerns" and denied their backpay. The two argued this decree for hours, but to no avail as the word came from Imperial High Command. They were then sent to clear out their respective quarters, under guard, which took until the start of fourth shift at the base (6pm).
