Jova Haqzey
Jova Haqzey is a ruthless opponent. Educated on Coruscant, but born in the Mid Rim, Jova grew up in a hard-scrabble place but forced himself to become exemplary and be noticed by planetary government often enough that he earned a scholarship. After he left school, he joined the Republic Navy, one of the few branches of the Republic Military that get you away from your homeworld. Just before graduation from the Corulag Academy, the Clone Wars began.
Jova had always been a by-the-book sort of thinker, but he was quite cunning about what happened to fall in the definition of rules. Intelligent, cunning, and capable were the notes written on his practical examination reports most often. He fit in easily and naturally with the Empire's forces, always applying a precise hand. This natural fit has cost the good Captain his few friends, who turned against the Empire when their Republic-Era indiscretions were discovered. Now Jova is hunting down their resistance group.

Personal history
Jova Haqzey is a dedicated supporter of the Empire. A veteran of the Clone Wars, he lost faith in the Republic when Jedi monks were given higher command priority than actual naval commanders. To say that he felt angry was an understatement, the man was enraged - some hokey religious priest with a funky sword-thing and magic powers was given the right to countermand actual soldiers! Dedicated lifetime soldiers, strategists, and officers died because some force-empowered bastard decided that the rules of war didn't apply to them. Civilians in a warzone aren't listened to, they are protected and set to the side. They don't belong in the conflict. The Jedi didn't belong in the war - and it cost Jova his crewmates on the Resolute during the battle of Sullust.
Order and stability, coupled with the intelligent application of power, are how Jova got things done. He was promoted on track during the Clone Wars, and didn't expect more. When his best female friend was promoted to Lieutenant Commander ahead of schedule, there was some friction from his bruised ego. But they made it right before she was transferred, or so he thought.
A year later Jova was promoted to Lieutenant Commander, but was still behind his crush Kirana who had recently been promoted to Commander for gallantry in the field. When the Jedi turned on the Emperor, Jova believed it. He figured it was blown out of proportions, embellished as all political actions are. But he believed that the Jedi endangered the Emperor and the Empire. When the war came to an end with the deaths of the Separatist leadership, Jova rejoiced at the idea that he could now do what he always wanted - hunt pirates and criminals in the Outer Rim - and not wage a seemingly endless war. Maybe he could use his own influence to get closer to Kirana.
A year after that and everything upends again. While at a retrain-refit post on Taris, Lt. Commander Jova got called to the Commandant's office and saw two of his friends there, Kirana and Axelmos. When they went inside, the Commandant praised Jova's test scores and physical results, citing that he was the sort the Empire needed. Then the Commandant promoted him an unheard of two steps to Captain and gave him command of a Venator Class Star Destroyer.
There was a breath of silence.
And then both Kirana and Axelmos began protesting. The Commandant and Jova were silent. While the protests seemed to fall on deaf ears of the Commandant, Jova heard every word, and listened to the insulting comments from Axelmos and the venom from Kirana. He suddenly saw through their friendship. He was smart, but never wanted, and always a little desperate for approval. He was the guy who thought he was their friend, but never one of the group. He felt wounded, they were his friends, but he was never their friend. He thought he had proved himself during the Wars, but they attacked every aspect of him - his adherence to the rules, his love of order and hierarchy - everything. Jova felt his heart harden. Any love he had for those two was vaporised that day. Everything they said was committed to memory. Every hateful thing. Then Jova stood, walked forward and thanked the Commandant for the amazing opportunity he had presented. Then Jova turned to leave, stating that he must see to his new ship.
When next he heard of Kirana and Axelmos, he was back in the Commandant's office the next morning. Apparently the two had joined up with three criminals and stolen a Ghtroc-720 Light Freighter. Jova immediately volunteered to bring the five of them in for trial. As aghast as he was at what they had done, he was equally shocked at the Commandant's next statement. Jova was to use this as an opportunity to do a shake-down cruise on a new Star Destroyer. He was being given command of an Imperial-I Star Destroyer! As a brand new ship-of-the-line, it hadn't been named. The freshly minted Captain Haqzey named the vessel The Vanquisher, naming it after his own hopes for the machine.
Since that fateful day, he has been analyzing clues and hunting his former associates. He found Axelmos on Chandrilla and followed him to the rest of them at Anaxes, where they had salvaged and taken command an Imperial Dreadnought. They escaped him there, but he soon found them again.
On Corulag, he made an error in his calculated plan. He relied on one of the Emperor's Inquisitorius agents. He had trapped Kirana, Axelmos, and two others he once associated with, in the Academy Cafeteria and dispensed a knock-out gas. But someone had switched the holodroid's dummy detonator with an active thermal detonator and nearly killed them all. The four escaped with the help of other traitorous allies.

History
When Jenzi was facing execution after being expelled from the Inquisitorius, she was made to await a tribunal verdict. While in the halls she met Captain Haqzey who offered her a post on his crew because of her family ties. When she agreed, he went to defend her and influence the verdict in her case, filing the proper paperwork to streamline his request. His knowledge of the Empire's laws and bureaucracy helped, but it was his respect for Lord Vader that cinched the deal.
When he entered the Tribunal's room uninvited, he greeted Darth Vader as "General" in a low voice, but apologized and rapidly admitted that it was merely a force of habit he developed while posted on the ship during the Clone Wars. He said it softly, and so that only Lord Vader could hear, and then immediately alerted the Council that was meeting that he had to leave system and would await their judgement to be announced the next time he could return to base. Their information network had gotten pinged, the Traitors had been found. He told them he had filed reposting requests for certain individuals, and they had been auto-accepted, and so he would be taking those individuals with him. He even conspiratorily whispers over to Lord Vader, "I even got the galley attendant from the officer's mess from the Resolute!" making it clear that he knew without ever stating that he knew Vader's prior identity. The suddenness of his brazen actions put all in the room on the back foot, and he spun and left before anything could be said.
Jenzi and Jova haven't spent a large period of time together, but they seem to get along famously.
Relationship Reasoning
These two need to succeed to survive. So they use every tool in their arsenal and do anything they have to in order to do it. They manipulate each other, but each secretly enjoys the mental fencing.
