Crossable Plants

In Ultima Online, any plant that you can grow in a bowl can have its pollen taken manually, and put onto any other plant that can be grown in a bowl.   Okay I lied. You can't do that with "mutant" plants. Mutants are any plants that are a mutant species or mutant color (black, white, aqua, magenta, pink, fire red). The bonsai used to all be considered mutants too, until a patch screwed up its code and it was discovered- by me!!! that you could crossbreed bonsai and classic plants together in order to get a third set of plants that the code decided on its own- no human was involved (except me- if I didn't discover it someone else would have at some point, probably. The plants chosen by the error code used to be decorative background graphics from around the game. Once the devs realized, they were going to patch it out- but the players liked it so they instead made the Cocoa Plants actually produce cocoa, and they put chocolate into the game) in the 3rd plant generation decision.   But for the roleplay I'm saying that all the bonsai we might find can have pollen added to them, just not from them, as the game says currently (or maybe they patched it out when the game became free? Either way, UO doesn't remove items from its game, only make new items not broken. If new bonsai work like the originals, then you'd need to find a bonsai that had the broken code).   This actually validates how we are going to translate all this into the roleplay. Any classic pottable plant (listed on the Plants, Comprehensive List page) can have its pollen taken and added to any other pottable plant from Ultima Online, or any plant from any other universe as long as it's growing in a pot (not trees), and you could get something new.   Example: There are poppies in Ultima Online, which grow in pots. These are classic pottable poppies. These are entirely unrelated to the poppies that come from the desert campaign. They just look the same, smell the same, act the same, and are called the same thing. You can take their pollen and put it on an oran berry bush, and you will make that instance of oran berry stop producing oran berries (since the berries are the seeds), and instead produce a total of 8 seeds for a new species that you the player get to come up with! Not only that, but the oran berry bush can now have its pollen (which is oran pollen, by the way) taken and put onto some other plant.   That's how you can get the Cross Pollination Law to spread between your plants, giving them all the same ability. This also might screw up an entire planet's food source, so you might not want to go nuts with it unless you have some way of not fucking up everything for yourself.
